In a bond hearing on Monday, Arlington County Commonswealth's Attorney Theo Stamos told the court that David Black asked a friend to help him kill his wife.

The murder was referred to as a classic case of domestic violence. David Black emotionally and verbally abused his wife for years until she filed for divorce.

David Black unleashed a brutal attack on his wife, and slashed her 14 times, according to new details from the bond hearing. Bonnie Black's children were found wandering outside after she was killed. They may have witnessed the attack.

The children are in the custody of Bonnie's family. The family was relieved Monday when the judge denied bond. David Black's trial is set for February 29th.
