Arlington water main break causes road closures
News

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- There are road closures in Arlington Tuesday due to a water main break, Arlington police said.

N. Courthouse Rd between Route 50 and 14th St. Route 50 Exit to Courthouse is currently closed. Both eastbound and westbound ramps from Arlington Blvd to the Courthouse are closed. Drivers can head southbound on Courthouse Rd from 13th St. to get to Arlington Blvd., police said. There is no access to northbound Courthouse Rd from Arlington Rd.

Arlington County Water Crews are in the process of locating utilities before they start digging, Arlington Water Emergency stated. The water main break is located at the bottom of a hill, which is causing a large volume of water to flow.

The water main break was reported just around 1:30 a.m.

The main break will likely impact people in the area throughout the day. The water has been shut off.
