ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- A suspect is wanted in connection with a hit and run involving a two-year-old in an Arlington McDonald's parking lot on August 30, Arlington County police said.

The hit and run happened at the McDonald's located in the 3000 block of Columbia Pike around 7:04 p.m., police said. It was captured on surveillance camera.

The driver ran over the top of the child and stopped so the family could pull the boy from underneath the car. The driver then sped off, according to authorities.

Police said the victim was taken to the Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a black man between the ages of 18-30. He has green eyes, and dreadlocks past his ears. Police said he was wearing a white baseball hat with a black brim. The car is described as a four door, silver-colored Cadillac sedan.
