Police: Uber driver wanted for Arlington sexual assault

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- An Uber driver is wanted for sexually assaulting an intoxicated female passenger in Arlington, according to Arlington County police.

On Sunday between 2:45 a.m. and 4:03 a.m., police say the woman entered an Uber cab that was not her intended ride. Despite not being the ride established by the app, the driver agreed to provide the woman a ride, according to police.

When the woman was unable to pay for the ride, police say the driver sexually assaulted her near the 900 block of South Randolph Street. The woman was able to flee to a nearby friend's house.

Police describe the suspect as a Middle Eastern male with short, curly black hair and a goatee. He was reportedly wearing a dark polo shirt and jeans at the time of the incident.
