Police: Man wanted for trying to rape woman in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Va. (WUSA9) -- Police released a sketch of a man who tried to rape a 25-year-old woman after pulling her into the bushes in Arlington on July 25.

The abduction happened around 1:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of 15th Street N., Arlington County police said. The suspect forced the victim into the bushes and grabbed at the victim's pant's police said. She was then able to fight him off. The suspect then fled the area on foot, according to authorities.

The woman flagged down a driver who then called 911.

The suspect is described as a white Hispanic man between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and weighing between 150 and175 pounds with an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, according to authorities.
