Extra Virgin Serves Up Live Jazz Music Every Friday and Saturday Night | Events
Extra Virgin, an Arlington-based olive oil themed Italian restaurant, does something most restaurants no longer engage in. They dish up a side of live entertainment, each and every Friday and Saturday evening, as well as on some weekdays. Patrons get a chance to dine on award-winning modern Italian cuisine while they are entertained by a variety of up-and-coming and established jazz musicians.
“If there is one thing that is still classy, it’s live jazz,” explains Chef Paul Anthony Fario, known as “Chefario,” the executive chef at Arlington-based Extra Virgin restaurant. “Being able to order great food and listen to some wonderful music as you eat it is really nice. It’s not all that common, which makes it even more special that we can offer it.”
Extra Virgin’s website, at www.extravirginva.com, features an events calendar that provides advance notice about who will be performing each Friday and Saturday evening, as well as on some weekdays. Current and future jazz musicians who perform at Extra Virgin include the Lena Seikaly Trio, Mike Bollerman, Scott Ross, the Bob Schwartz Quartet, and Anita’s Jazz Hat. Most performances run from 7:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m., but some times do vary, starting earlier or ending later.

“If you really want to impress someone, or have a great evening, keep our jazz nights in mind,” adds Chef Fario. “Once you visit and see how wonderful the combination of food and talent can be, you will want to make it a regular weekend stop.”
In addition to the Saturday night jazz, they offer classic rock and old time favorites on Thursday’s, and late night easy listening music on Friday’s. They also offer late night dancing.
