Fresh Produce Donations Requested by AFAC

From AFAC:

The Arlington Food Assistance Center’s Plot Against Hunger program is once again asking local gardeners and farmers to donate fresh produce to the AFAC food pantry.  Each week, over 1,300 client families visit AFAC to pick up supplemental groceries. Fresh fruits and vegetables are in high demand among AFAC clients, especially as fuel prices drive up food prices.

Produce donations can be delivered to three sites this summer:

  • AFAC, 2708 S. Nelson Street, Arlington VA 22206
    • Monday – Friday: 8 am-4:30 pm
    • Saturday: 8 am-3 pm
  • Master Gardeners Help Desk at the Courthouse Farmers Market, adjacent to the Arlington County Courthouse Parking Lot, at the intersection of N. Courthouse Rd. and N. 14th St.
    • Saturday: 8 am-Noon
  • Rock Spring United Church of Christ, 5010 Little Falls Road, Arlington VA 22207
    • Sunday: 9 am-Noon
