Waters-Ward Third Annual Fundraiser for Children's Law Center Held at Boffi Georgetown | Arts & Culture
Attendees enjoyed Praline Bakery & Bistro sweets, Black Elk wine and light bites in the beautiful Italian kitchen and bath showroom.
Jessica Waters, assistant professor in the Department of Justice, Law & Society at American University, along with her husband Doug Ward, held a fundraiser for the Children's Law Center (CLC), www.childrenslawcenter.org, at Boffi Georgetown, www.boffigeorgetown.com, 3320 M St. NW in Cady's Alley on Saturday evening, November 3rd.
Waters thanked the approximately 50 guests, who donated $50 per person with 100% going to CLC, for supporting the only legal service in DC dedicated to helping underprivileged children. Julia Walter, Boffi showroom manager, and the Boffi team of Robert Matic and Alberto De Marco provided the beautiful two-story location for the event and shared information about the sleek Italian kitchens and baths in the Georgetown showroom. Nancy Drane and Judith Sandalow from CLC were on hand to answer questions about the organization.
Attendees enjoyed an assortment of light bites and wines including Black Elk red wine donated by Craft Wine & Spirits, www.craftws.com. Craft also donated Alaska Distillery vodka and Fat & Juicy Bloody Mary mix to the gift basket that included a $25 Praline Bakery & Bistro, www.praline-bakery.com, certificate. The gift basket was raffled off and won by Addy Schmitt. Praline also donated delicious mini Lemon Almond Cakes to this third annual fundraiser.
