Legends Knock out Abuse and Fight for Children with DC's Signature Charity Events

Super storm Sandy may have put a damper on Halloween but not so much on the annual Knock Out Abuse (KOA) and Fight for Children "Fight Night" events that raise millions of dollars each year in DC.  Fight Night again raised a fortune for Fight for Children, the nonprofit that helps DC kids receive a great education and stay healthy so they can learn.  KOA which was co-founded 19 years ago by Cheryl Masri has helped thousands of women rebuild after domestic abuse.

The men's night featured as usul an amazing silent auction and cocktail reception hosted by the Washington Wizard Cheerleaders followed by their signature laser show, Redskinette performance and musical performance.  This year performance was by Rapper MC Hammer who had an amazing performance which featured all of his hits like "2 Legit 2 Quit" and "Can't Touch This".  Right before the event's signature match, the boxing legends took the stage featuring the likes of DC's very own Sugar Ray Leonard.  The women's event had their signature cocktail party followed by a lavish banquet dinner featuring high end silent auction items and key note address by supermodel and author Carre Otis.  The night ended with the men doing their timeless tradition of leaving their boy's night to join the women on the dance floor of the Ritz Carlton.  This year they partied into the wee hours of the morning with special host and rap legend Doug E. Fresh.
