Food Cart Craze Not Limited to the District | Public Spaces
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
Food carts have become increasingly popular in Washington D.C. But you don't have to venture into the city to enjoy some fabulous curbside cuisine! In Ballston, two weeks ago the Taco Carrito hit the streets offering a variety of tacos, beef chili, guacamole, rice, and beans. They are open Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and set up shop right across the street from the Ballston metro.
Just near the tacos, you can find Solar Crêpes, a boutique mobile crêperie that has only been around the Ballston neighborhood for a few months. This cart offers all organic, seasonal, locally-grown food options. Besides offering both sweet and savory crêpes, Solar Crêpes offers fresh fruits and vegetables, Amish yogurts, vintage soda pop, fair-trade coffee, and various French pastries.
